Bríd Higgins Ní Chinnéide lives and works in Dublin, Ireland.
Bríd is a figurative artist and works primarily with oil paint. She draws most of her inspiration from people - their faces and their bodies. Bríd is interested in the substance of paint itself and is constantly learning about this medium and its potential for conveying both the substantial and insubstantial aspects of life.
Bríd studied painting at the St Petersburg Academy of Arts in Russia in the late 90's and early 2000's. For the next decade she worked in the field of radio journalism, while living in the UK and US. Bríd returned to Ireland in 2015 and has been building a professional painting practice since then.
Bríd Higgins Ní Chinnéide is an occasional contributor and arts reviewer for Radio na Gaeltachta.
